The Company International Foam Packaging, LLC. (the "Company"), a Virginia corporation, is a privately owned corporation with both its corporate office and manufacturing facility located in Richmond, Virginia. The Company manufactures a shipping package that is unique in the small package industry.
The Xpander Pak® product, with its patented construction and foam cushioning, provides much greater protection against the shock and vibration encountered in shipping than ordinary shipping materials including bubble or padded envelopes.
Xpander Pak® products protect fragile contents with thick, flexible polyurethane foam; yet, they are light in weight and reduce shipping costs significantly.
For this reason, the product is widely used by an enormous variety of businesses for shipping delicate items, including: cameras, jewelry, video tapes, watches, eyewear, art work, small antiques, spare parts, mementos, crystal, computers, chocolate, electronic components, cell phones, prescriptions and medical devices. Compared with a corrugated box, the Xpander Pak® products: are cost effective to ship; require less time to pack; need less storage spaces; weigh one-third less than conventional products; offer better protection.
Xpander Pak Super Protective shipping systems are manufactured to meet just about any size requirement, and range in size from 7.5" x 9.5" to 20" x 22". All of our products are produced with a 1.1. lb. density foam; most, however, can also be produced with any custom foam configuration. In addition to the basic Xpander Pak Super Protective shipping system, the Company also offers the following lines:
1) Xpander Pak Super Protective RX Shipping System- a heavy duty version of the product which has been tailored specifically for the mail-order pharmaceutical market. This product will serve other customers who want added shock absorbing protection and thermatic protection against temperature extremes whether it be hot or cold.
2) Xpander Pak Super Protective Safe-T-Shipping System- a thinner version of the standard product which was designed specifically for shipping cell phones and pagers. This product will serve those customers who need a solid amount of shock absorbing protection at a lower cost.
3) Xpander Pak Super Protective Electro Static Dissipative (ESD) Shipping System- wherein the ESD shipper provides protection against static electricity, making it well suited for circuit boards, computer parts, and other small electronics.
In 2000, the Company transitioned from it manufacturing operations into a newly renovated warehouse. Recognizing the importance of maintaining the highest quality production standards, the Company took over the manufacturing of its entire product line, which is now handled from a 40,000-square-foot facility in Richmond, Virginia. Consequently, all functions from new product development, to manufacturing and shipping, to sales and marketing are handled directly by Company personnel, resulting in better quality, quicker response to customer needs, and innovative solutions for just about any packaging need.
